DETROIT - Will Power held off Graham Rahal in the final lap today to win the first race of the Chevrolet Indy Dual in Detroit.
Power took the lead in the IndyCar race with 10 laps left on the 2.35-mile road course after being a part of the top three coming out of the final caution with 15 laps left.
Power finished .3308 seconds ahead of Rahal. Tony Kanaan finished third, and Indianapolis 500 champion Ryan Hunter-Reay finished 16th. Hunter-Reay, who entered the weekend as the IndyCar points leader, crashed with one lap left.
The IndyCar doubleheader continues at 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Belle Isle.
