Kevin Harvick sets new track qualifying record of 204.557 mph to win pole for Quicken Loans 400

BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Kevin Harvick set a new track qualifying record of 204.557 miles per hour to win the pole for Sunday's Quicken Loans 400 during today's qualifying at Michigan International Speedway.

Harvick had the top speeds in the first two qualifying rounds - 203.995 miles per hour during the first qualifying session and 202.988 during the second qualifying session on the 2-mile superspeedway.

Harvick qualified ahead of Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

The Quicken Loans 400 begins at 1 p.m. Sunday at Michigan International Speedway.
