Foreclosure and mortgage delinquency rates in metro Toledo decreased for the ninth straight month in September, according to CoreLogic Inc., a California-based real estate data firm.
The foreclosure rate fell to 2.01 percent, down from 2.98 percent in September, 2012. The Toledo foreclosure rate was below the U.S. rate of 2.29 percent in September.
The 90-plus-day delinquency rate for the Toledo area decreased to 4.98 percent, down from 6.07 percent a year ago. The national rate is 5.21 percent.
For all of Ohio, CoreLogic said September’s foreclosure rate was 2.26 percent, down from 3.29 percent a year ago. The 90-plus-day delinquency rate was 5.5 percent, down from 6.67 percent in September, 2012.
