Relics from Neil Armstrong's boyhood Ohio home going on auction block

WAPAKONETA, Ohio— A toy airplane that belonged to the first man to walk on the moon is going up for sale.

An auction house based in Texas says it's organizing the sale of several items that came from Neil Armstrong's boyhood home in Ohio.

Heritage Auctions says the items have been held onto for almost the last 50 years by a family that bought the Armstrong home in Wapakoneta in the mid-1960s.

Among the relics being sold at the auction on April 18 are drawings made by Armstrong when he was a boy and one of his toy planes. There's also a signed photo of Armstrong's home up for sale.

Armstrong died last August at age 82.
