Ohio man dies after being run over by truck driven by colleague at worksite, patrol says

ASSOCIATED PRESS

WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio — The State Highway Patrol says a worker walking at a central Ohio construction site was run over by a truck and died.

Troopers say the 52-year-old man was pinned under the truck Monday morning at the site east of U.S. Route 42 in Madison County. The Columbus Dispatch reports the driver of the truck apparently didn’t see his co-worker and backed over him at a power-line installation site.

The patrol identified the worker who died as Nick Yurjevich Jr., of Bergholz.

The patrol says the truck was being driven by a 29-year-old man from Quaker City. He wasn’t hurt.

The death remains under investigation.
