No new Xbox console planned, Microsoft says
NEW YORK — Microsoft Corp. said Monday that it will not be discussing new Xbox gaming hardware console at the E3 Expo in June, a big, yearly video game conference in Los Angeles.
Some video game players had hoped for an announcement of an upgrade at the event where game makers show off new wares and titles. Microsoft said it plans to focus on games, music and other entertainment for the Xbox 360, which came out in 2005.
