Austin Dantin was named the University of Toledo's starting quarterback for Thursday's season-opener at the Glass Bowl against New Hampshire, coach Tim Beckman announced Monday afternoon.
Dantin, a junior, beat out sophomore Terrance Owens for the starting job.
Dantin was named the Rockets' starting QB at the end of preseason practices last year as well before getting injured and giving way to Owens.
