UT falls to Kent State

The University of Toledo made just 1 of 16 3-pointers Saturday evening in a 77-61 loss to Kent State at Savage Arena.

The Rockets (10-11, 2-5) trailed 35-31 at halftime and were bombarded after the break when Kent State executed slam dunks on three straight possessions to go ahead 46-34.

Sophomore Rian Pearson led UT with 22 points, and Matt Smith added 13. Freshman guard Julius Brown turned the ball over eight times and did not score.

Chris Evans led the Golden Flashes (14-6, 4-3) with 23 points.
