KALAMAZOO, Mich. — With a come-from-behind victory over Western Michigan on Friday, the Toledo volleyball team clinched a share of the MAC West Division title for the first time in program history.
The Rockets (19-10, 12-3 MAC) trailed 14-7 in the final set, but rallied to win the last nine points of the match, securing a 18-25, 14-25, 25-12, 25-23, 16-14 victory.
Senior Lauren Rafdal recorded 19 kills as Toledo won for the first time ever in Kalamazoo. Senior Becca Reidy added 15 kills, while senior Dakota Harkins tallied 13.
Rafdal and freshman Ellen Hays paced Toledo with 15 digs each.
The Rockets will attempt to win the MAC West Division outright as they face a road test 7 p.m. today at Northern Illinois.
