Walleye top Evansville 5-3


Travis Novak scored two goals and had an assist to help the Toledo Walleye to a 5-3 win over Evansville tonight at the Huntington Center.

Novak scored both goals in a span of two minutes in the first period, as Toledo snapped a six-game losing streak.

Hannu Toivonen made 37 saves for the Walleye, while Louis-Marc Aubry, Richard Nedomlel, and captain Kyle Rogers also scored for the Walleye.

Tom Zanoski, Mike Seidel and Daultan Leveille scored for the IceMen, who face the Walleye at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at the Huntington Center.
