OAKLEAF HOLDS ANNUAL OHIO STATE-MICHIGAN TAILGATE EVENT

More than 80 residents attend the annual Ohio State-Michigan tailgate party at Oakleaf Village Retirement Community. During last week's event, Felice Wolff, dressed as a football referee, right, gave Jean VanSickle a prize for being the best-dressed Buckeyes fan in attendance. Accompanying Ms. VanSickle are Dessie Spann, far left, and Virginia Timmons.

Among the Michigan fans at the gathering was Loretta Diekneit, left, with the stuffed-toy wolverine she received for being the best-dressed UM fan. Others with Ms. Diekneit were Betty Kantner, far left, and Marjorie Chryst. The tailgate party included food, contests, and visits by the Southview pep band along with Northview's band and cheerleaders.
