Library winter story program, holiday contest under way

SWANTON -- The Swanton Public Library's winter classes for preschool children are under way and continue Tuesday mornings through Dec. 13. Registration is not required.

The Once Upon a Story program, for ages 3 to 5, meets at 10:30 in the children's program room. Tales for Tots, for ages 6 months through 2 years accompanied by an adult, meets at the same time in the community room.

The library's Thanksgiving contest for children runs through Nov. 30.

Children are encouraged to look for 15 pictures of Thanksgiving-related items hidden throughout the library. Anyone who finds all 15 wins a prize from the Stash.

Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join the musical mayhem Saturday from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The children will read silly books, sing silly songs, play instruments, eat musical snacks, and make crafts.

More information is available at 419-826-2760 or at swanton.lib.oh.us. The library is at 305 Chestnut St.
