Gunman robs Kroger on Woodville Road
A man armed with a handgun yesterday robbed the Kroger store, 1920 Woodville Rd., Oregon, of an undetermined amount of money, police said.
The man entered the store about 4 p.m., approached the customer service desk, displayed a small, dark-colored handgun, and demanded money.
After an employee complied, the man walked out and got behind the wheel of a black, mid-to-late 1980s Pontiac Bonneville. The car was last seen eastbound on Woodville, Detective Randy Jacobs said.
The man was described as being white, in his 30s, dark-haired, with a thin build, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and wearing thick glasses. He was dressed in blue coveralls and a dark ball cap, Detective Jacobs said.
