Depth chart carousel

An updated roster and depth chart for the University of Toledo football team came out Wednesday.

You can find that here. Let s take a look at some changes:

On the two deep

Offensive line: Kevin Kilgo has replaced Chris Meenan as a starter. Meenan has not practiced the past few days because of an injury. That causes some shakeup among the positions. Jared DeWalt moves back to right guard, Jan Gewont moves to right tackle from right guard. Kilgo is at left guard. Backups Mike VanDerMeulen, Matt Bradbury and Kevin Kowalski are all true freshmen.

Receivers: Senior David Washington has reclaimed his starting spot, leapfrogging sophomore Robin Bailey. I talked to receivers coach Chris Hedden about Bailey on Wednesday and he said everyone has been pleased with Bailey s production during practice. The biggest thing that Robin has to do is he s got to take those plays in practice to a scrimmage environment, Hedden said. He understands that.

Defensive line: Sophomore Maurice Hill replaces Skylaar Constant as a starter at defensive tackle. Constant has not practiced the past few days but has been on the sidelines.

Every other No. 1 was the same as at the beginning of camp, with some of the backups changing.

On the roster

Five signees from the February class are not in camp. Three of them, RB Hosea Simpson, LB Disi Alexander, and RB Morgan Williams, were somewhat expected as they were not in the media guide. The other two are S Tamawi McGhee and LB Tyson Patrick.

A late signee was CB Anthony King, a cornerback you can read more about here.
