O-I subsidiary’s plant
 in Zanesville is fined

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Owens-Brockway Glass Container, a subsidiary of Perrysburg-based Owens-Illinois, has been fined $61,000 for six safety violations at its glass manufacturing plant in Zanesville.

The fines were issued by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Among the violations cited were a lack of signs marking exit directions, failure to require head protection for workers exposed to overhead hazards, and the lack of an emergency eye-washing station.
