MARION, Ohio — ConAgra is closing two Marion County popcorn plants.
The plants employ 170 people, according to ConAgra, and produce Orville Redenbacher’s microwave popcorn.
The company has seen declining sales in microwave popcorn, according to ConAgra’s latest financial report, and is realigning its business.
The plant in Marion will close on Oct. 10, the firm said, and the Morral site will close next summer. Once the plants close, ConAgra will no longer make popcorn in Ohio.
