FINDLAY - Emergency 911 phone service in Hancock County was cut off by a lightning strike last night, sheriff's deputies said.
Lightning apparently hit a 911 tower about 8:30 p.m. as a storm passed through the area. Crews familiar with the phone system were called in to make repairs, deputies said.
