t●Hand-to-Hand class Thursdays, 6:30 p.m., Lutheran Social Services, State Rt. 66. Helps parents face challenges of dealing with a child or teenager suffering from serious mental health or emotional disorders. Call: 419-636-4703.

t●Card party 1-4 p.m. first and third Mondays monthly, St. John's Lutheran Church Family Life Center, State Hwy. 6 and State Rt. 66. Cost is $2 and one item for the food pantry. Information: 800-577-8629.

t●Historic quilt on display: Friends of the Library quilt depicts some historic aspects of Delta in the library's new addition. The 30 quilt squares are framed in a shadow box to preserve their integrity. The quilt includes the Delta Depot, City Hall 1894, Main Street 1880, Old Brick School House 1890, Reighard Blacksmith Shop, Monarch Mill, Trolley Car, Fire of 1892, Lincoln Hotel, the first marriage in 1840, and the first birth in 1841.


t●Evergreen Elementary observes Veterans' Day Friday. Lunch served 10:55 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. in the cafeteria. Veteran's Day festivities include presentation of the colors, patriotic songs, and reading passages about veterans Information: 419-644-9221.

t●Members of the Warkentin family tell the story of flight and eventual settlement in Swanton Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in the library's community room. Their memories are published in Seams of Gold by Vera Jones. Free to the public.

t●"Let's Talk Turkey" program for grades K, 1, and 2, 4-4:45 p.m. Nov. 18. Turkey stories, games, and crafts. Free. Registration is required.

t●Flu and pneumonia shots given by the Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 22 at the library. No appointment necessary.

t●Zathura sweepstakes at the library to celebrate the release of the movie based on the children's book. Children enter by answering the question "What is one question you would like to ask an astronaut about space?"
