Holiday closings

All city, county, state, and federal offices and courts will be closed Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of the New Year.

Northwood and Oregon city offices will be closed today. Ottawa Hills offices will close from noon Dec. 30 through Jan. 2.

Lucas County offices will close from 12:30 p.m. today through Jan. 2. Auto title offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 2 only.

A list of select services follows:

Columbia Gas phone center will be closed Jan. 2. Emergency calls only will be taken at 1-800- 344-4077.

Toledo Edison customer service will be closed Jan. 2. Only emergency calls will be taken.

All banks, financial institutions, and banking centers will be closed Monday, Jan. 2. Fifth Third Bank Marts in the Kroger stores will be open regular hours on Jan. 2.

Most shopping centers will close early tomorrow and Jan. 1. Individual stores may have different hours.

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library and branches will be closed Sunday and Monday, Jan. 1 and 2.

There will be no mail delivery or collection on Monday, Jan. 2, and no window services at the Main Post Office or any classified station or branch.

Express Mail Service will be available Monday, but the Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit will be closed.

Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority buses will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, Jan. 2.

Metered downtown parking will be free on Monday, Jan. 2.

In Toledo, trash will not be collected on Monday, Jan. 2, but delayed a day all week.

Trash collection in outlying areas will be on a regular schedule on Monday, Jan. 2.

Ottawa Hills regular Monday-Tuesday trash collection will be done Tuesday-Wednesday.
