1 dead in Hancock County crash
ARLINGTON, Ohio — A Forest, Ohio, driver was killed and a female motorist from Arlington injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon in Hancock County’s Delaware Township southeast of Arlington.
Sheriff’s deputies said Joe Riker, 68, of Forest, was driving his pickup truck south on Township Road 184 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a westbound car on Township Road 150, driven by Michelle Thompson, 48. The accident was reported at 2:43 p.m.
Mr. Riker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms. Thompson, who deputies said suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, where her condition was not available.
