    Hunger Banquet

    This year's Hunger Banquet was held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Perrysburg. About 35 people participated in the event, in its third year. The banquet is an exercise designed to highlight food inequality and the choices people make surrounding access to food by dividing participants into classes.

But in 1940, something less common happened: A major political party nominated a business leader with little to no political experience as its presidential candidate.
