    The African-American Festival joined the Northwest Ohio Rib Off for the first time Sunday. Dozens of people arrived early for an afternoon of songs from the stage in Maumee. Sunday's event was the 12th annual African-American Festival, which sponsored entertainment at the fairgrounds.

    About 3,000 people turned out at Fifth Third Field Saturday afternoon to watch Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team. The team, made up of both veterans and active-duty personnel who have lost limbs in military service, defeated a combined team of Toledo police and firefighters, 21-10.
