Perrysburg High School English Teacher Matt Boggs is among just sixteen Ohio educators who recently kicked off a year of learning about technologies for use in their classrooms in the Trailblazer Teachers program, managed by Batelle Education and supported by Ohio's Straight A Fund.

Thanksgiving meal giveaway at First Apostolic Church

The third annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway was held Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at the First Apostolic Church on November 22, 2015. 600 families in the Toledo Area received a bag filled with a boneless ham, pumpkin pie, yams and other holiday treats. The event was sponsored in part by Meijer.

Toledo citizens in the Northwest Ohio Peace Coalition rallied to support welcoming Syrian refugees in Ohio on Nov. 22, 2015.

Confetti is tossed near the starting line as Girls on the Run, which describes itself as "a life-changing, non-profit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade," hosts a 5k race in Maumee, Ohio. In addition to the girls, hundreds of boys and adults ran in the chilly 5K.

Girls on the Run, an after-school program that pairs girls in third, fourth, and fifth grades with coaches who help the girls with running, life skills, and building self-esteem, hosted a 5K race in Maumee, Ohio, on Nov. 21, 2015.
