One SeaGate, SSOE, and the Rip Cord Tavern won the Downtown Toledo Improvement District's annual downtown holiday decorating contest, results of which were announced yesterday.
Winners were judged by the district's marketing and special events committee, whose members traveled throughout the 38-block district on Dec. 13 to determine the nine best commercial outdoor holiday presentations in three categories: large, medium, and small facilities. Winners will receive certificates and prizes donated by 21 Toledo merchants.
In the large facilities category, the first-place winner was One SeaGate, while second place went to Toledo Edison. The Hylant Building was third.
First place among medium facilities went to SSOE Inc., second place went to Sky Bank, and third place was given to KeyBank on Summit Street.
The Rip Cord won first place among small businesses. Sophia Lustig Shop took second, and Vouco Parking was third.
