Reward offered in fire at Stony Ridge Inn

Authorities are seeking public help in finding those responsible for the Wednesday fire at the Stony Ridge Inn in Wood County's Lake Township after ruling it an arson.

No one was hurt in the fire, which was reported at 5:47 a.m. The fire caused heavy damage to the restaurant and bar of the Stony Ridge Inn, but the hotel building was not damaged.

A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward has been posted at the property. The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification of those responsible for the fire.

The investigation is being conducted by the state fire marshal; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; Lake Township police, and the state Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ohio Fire Marshal's Office at 1-800-589-2728.
