Telamon Construction of Sandusky was awarded the general trades contract for $1,409,000 for the 17,000-square-foot facility that will provide space for vehicle storage and offices for the Sandusky County TRIPS Transportation Service, operated by WSOS Community Action Commission.
Also receiving contracts this week were Sabroske Electric of Fremont, $342,000; Henson Plumbing & Heating of Woodville, $147,108; Westland Heating and Air Conditioning of Westlake, Ohio, $137,000, and S.A. Comunale of Fremont, $47,470 for fire suppression.
Paid for with federal transportation dollars, the facility is to be built off Countryside Drive on land provided by the county. Groundbreaking is scheduled for March, and the project is to be completed by the end of the year.
