Crash on Garden Rd. kills Toledo motorcyclist

A Toledo man died Tuesday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a turning pickup on Garden Road east of Kenmore Road in Springfield Township.

Dennis J. Garn, 65, of Toledo was transported to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Mr. Garn was riding east on Garden Road at about 2:45 p.m. when a pickup driven west by Ramiz A. Bcharah, 56, of Maumee, attempted to turn left into a private drive.

The motorcycle overturned and Mr. Garn was thrown onto the sidewalk, authorities said.

Mr. Bcharah was not injured.
