An Ohio Boating Education course will be offered Oct. 27 at Bass Pro Shops in Rossford.
The course, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources division of watercraft, covers subjects including navigation rules, signs, and aids; boating and personal safety equipment, and boating laws.
Ohio law requires any person born after Jan. 1, 1982, to be able to show proof of successfully completing an approved boating safety course if he or she operates any watercraft powered by a motor of greater than 10 horsepower.
The $5 fee for course materials. Preregistration is required because of class-size limits. To register, contact the Maumee Bay Watercraft Office at 419-836-6003 or visit the ODNR Web site at ohiodnr.com.
