Penta grad is fined over threats linked to prom

BOWLING GREEN — A Penta Career Center graduate charged with making threats to harm several students at the Springfield High School prom last spring recently pleaded no contest to an amended charge of disorderly conduct.

Joseph L.H. Taylor, 19, of Weston had been charged in Bowling Green Municipal Court with inducing panic after he made the threat on Facebook.

A similar charge filed in Toledo Municipal Court was dismissed.

Bowling Green City Prosecutor Matt Reger said Mr. Taylor was found guilty of the charge Sept. 11 by Magistrate Thomas McDermott, who ordered him to pay a $150 fine and $100 in court costs.
