Toledo-based business founder honored in D.C.

Jim Findlay, the founder of Toledo-based Impact Products LLC, was honored Sunday on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives by 9th District Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D., Toledo) for his entrepreneurship.

Mr. Findlay, 86, founded Impact Products in 1963. The company, which manufactures janitorial and sanitary maintenance products, was sold to private equity investors in 2001 but remains in Toledo.

“The company's name, Impact, is a testament to the impact one person can selflessly make on the lives of so many,” Ms. Kaptur said, lauding his devotion to family and employees.
