COLUMBUS — As the Obama Administration re-enters the battle with Republicans over potential budget cuts, Vice President Joe Biden will visit North Baltimore on Wednesday to promote infrastructure investment.
He is expected to make the case that infrastructure spend-ing invests in the economy and middle class.
He and Anthony Foxx, U.S. secretary of transportation, plan to visit the CSX Intermodal Terminal as part of a “port” facilities tour. Details on the visit will be announced, the White House said.
The Democratic vice president chose the terminal because it is the primary hub of the National Gateway freight system linking the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic areas and is supported by federal, state, and private funds.
