FINDLAY — Several Ohio Highway Patrol posts have named Troopers of the Year.
The Findlay post gave the honor to Philip Mohre, 42, who joined the patrol in 2002. He has worked at posts in Swanton and Bowling Green before being assigned to Findlay. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Wayne, Ohio, with their two children.
The Fremont post selected Garry M. Odom, 43, who joined the highway patrol’s Fremont post in 2004. He and his wife, Christina, live in Bradner, Ohio, with their four children.
Trooper John F. McGlashan, 34, was recognized at the Sandusky post for his exemplary work in 2013. He joined the patrol in 2001, initially serving in Findlay before his transfer to Sandusky. He and his wife, Alecia, live in Perkins Township with their two children.
Also at the Sandusky post, Brian A. Flahiff was named Dispatcher of the Year for 2013. Trooper Flahiff joined the patrol in 2000 and lives in Fremont with his wife, Melissa, and their twin daughters.
