The 2013-14 winter season snowfall is neck and neck with the all-time record for Toledo.

Toledo's four tenths of an inch of the snowfall overnight ties the record of 73.1 inches that fell in Toledo in the winter of 1977-1978, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

The reading of 73.1 inches of snow was taken at 7 a.m. today at Toledo Express Airport.

The readings are taken every six hours. The next will be taken at 1 p.m.

The National Weather Service said the Toledo area had gotten .4 inches early today.
