Ice jams the Maumee River on its north side as it flows around Blue Grass Island, at left, east-northeast of the I-475 overpass in Maumee. The ice apparently will be around for a while: Temperatures should reach no higher than 18 today, while the wind will make it feel as cold as -24, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will approach 32 Saturday, but will drop back to the teens through Wednesday, with snow possible Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
