Whitehouse Village is looking for floats, vehicles, pedestrians, animals, bicycles, and other participants for its sesquicentennial parade on July 5.
The parade, at 10 a.m. that Saturday, will kick off the Whitehouse Sesquicentennial Celebration. Businesses, civic groups, churches, schools, families, neighborhoods, and groups are invited to participate.
Events will take place all day, and include an antique car and tractor show, horse and carriage rides, fireworks, and re-enactments. Food and ice cream will be available.
The village also is looking for teams for a community softball game as part of the sesquicentennial celebration. The game will use Chicago 16 rules and families are encouraged to participate. For more information, contact Steve Pilcher at 419-877-5383 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
