Michigan’s second Adopt-a-Highway week of the year starts today, prompting state officials to urge motorists to be on the lookout for litter-collection volunteers along state highways.
The volunteers will be out starting today and continuing through July 20. They wear fluorescent yellow-green safety vests.
Michigan’s third and final Adopt-a-Highway cleanup of the year is planned for Sept. 20-28.
