MONROE — A pair of meetings have been scheduled for July 24 to give area residents a chance to weigh in on DTE Energy’s application for a 20-year extension of the utility’s Fermi 2 nuclear power plant in northern Monroe County.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced Wednesday that it will take comment from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. that day.
The meetings will be in the La-Z-Boy Center of Monroe County Community College, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe.
An informal open house will be held an hour before the start of each meeting, the NRC said.
