Humane society offering half off for cats, kittens

The Toledo Area Humane Society is offering special adoption rates for cats and pocket pets.

Now through Sunday, all adoption fees for cats and kittens are half off and pocket pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, and rats are $5. The shelter will still honor its Better in Pairs discount, and anyone who adopts two kittens or adult cats at the same time will receive half off the reduced fee for the second animal.

All animals are spayed or neutered, have received appropriate vaccines, and have been microchipped.

The humane society at 1920 Indian Wood Circle in Maumee is open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends. More cats and kittens will be available at off-site locations in the organization’s ReTail Shop at 2036 S. Byrne Road in Toledo, in Petco in Bowling Green, and Petsmart in Rossford.

Available animals can be seen at toledoareahumane.org.
