ARCHBOLD, Ohio — Joseph T. Furko, Jr., an educator and coach who closed his career in the Archbold school district, died Thursday in Family Hospice & Palliative Care, Pittsburgh. He was 72.

Boy critically injured in car-truck collision
SANDUSKY — A mother and her 3-year-old son were injured Tuesday when a car and a refuse truck collided on Mason Road near State Rt. 269 near Sandusky, closing Mason for about three hours, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
