Perrysburg, ODOT agree on salt deal
The city of Perrysburg used a new record of 5,800 tons of salt this winter, so preparing for next year it entered in an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for 5,000 tons next year. That will go along with the 500 tons the city currently has.

Owens students to offer meals
Owens Community College Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program will serve international cuisine on Tuesdays and American regional cuisine on Thursdays in April. The student-run Terrace View Cafe is in Heritage Hall Room 113 at Owens' campus in Perrysburg Township off Oregon Road.

Whitehouse marks Earth Day
The Whitehouse village will hold its annual Earth Day recycling event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 26 at Village Park downtown. Clothing, household linens, small appliances, rechargeable batteries, clean used motor oil, plastic grocery bags, and cell phones will be accepted. Woodmore group flower sale begins
The Woodmore PTO’s annual spring flower sale is under way. Flowers being sold include marigold, begonia, petunia, sunpatien, and fuschia. Order forms and payment are due by Wednesday. Pickup will be noon to 7 p.m. May 9.
