The University of Toledo men erased a 15-0 deficit before the first half was over and held on to beat Ohio University, 77-73, on Wednesday evening at Savage Arena.
Matt Smith and Rian Pearson both scored 18 points for the Rockets, who snapped a three-game losing streak and ended OU's six-game win streak. Smith made two free throws with 1.2 seconds remaining to seal the win.
Ohio's D.J. Cooper scored eight straight points to put his team ahead 73-72 with 1:35 to go.
Pearson finished with 16 rebounds.
