Different retired judge to hear case against ex-prosecutor

FINDLAY -- A retired Kettering Municipal Court judge has been appointed to hear an assault case filed against a former Hancock County assistant prosecutor.

The Ohio Supreme Court named Larry Moore to preside over the case of Drew Wortman in Findlay Municipal Court.

Judge Mary Grace Trimboli, who is retired from Toledo Municipal Court, initially was appointed to hear the case, but she was dismissed this month after it was learned she had read a police report about the case that had not been submitted to the court.

Mr. Wortman, 37, of Findlay was charged March 29 with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, for a Jan. 30 incident in which he is accused of assaulting a woman with whom he had been living.

Mr. Wortman was fired in May.
