Toledoan pleads no contest in fatal crash

Lora Staton found guilty in death of motorcyclist

A Toledo woman who was intoxicated when she pulled out in front of a motorcycle on West Alexis Road pleaded no contest today to aggravated vehicular homicide.

Lora Staton, 35, of 504 W. Alexis Rd. was then found guilty by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gary Cook.

She was driving on Recamper Drive about 2:30 a.m. June 9 when she pulled out in front of a motorcycle driven by Vance Popp, 43, of Sylvania that was westbound on Alexis. Mr. Popp was killed.
