Brooke Schlageter-Graham is an instructor with boundless energy. She is the only English as a second language teacher at Maumee Valley Country Day School. She single-handedly coordinated the ESL program last year and is strengthening and reversing it in its second year, while also teaching English. She is director of the Global Leadership Program - a special certificate students can earn upon graduating and completing the program’s requirements.
About 15 percent of the high school students at Maumee Valley Country Day School are international students, and she saw the urgent need for a strong ESL Program. She has delivered with an exemplary program.
“Brooke is enterprising and driven by mission and purpose,” said Gareth Griffith, Head of Upper School. “She is an excellent advocate for her students and constantly looks for ways to strengthen core programs at school that she oversees.”
