NAPOLEON - Matthew Rednour apparently doesn't like the thought of being incarcerated.
So much so that, in the last week, he's escaped twice from custody - both times from Henry County sheriff's deputies.
During his five hours on the lam yesterday - a week to the day after his first escape - Rednour apparently was planning to color his brown hair blond.
When he was caught behind the Super Wash car wash in Napoleon, he had shed his handcuffs and yellow jail garb, was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and was holding a box of Colorsilk Golden Blonde, authorities said.
Last night, Rednour, 26, of Napoleon was back in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Stryker.
The hair color kit was seized as evidence.
Rednour, who is a familiar figure to local law enforcement officials, appeared in Napoleon Municipal Court yesterday morning on a charge of inciting violence.
He was accused of rounding up people in a bar to back him in a fight at the Napoleon apartment complex where he lived with his mother and brother.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
When court ended about 10:30 a.m., Rednour and another prisoner were escorted outside by two deputies.
As one of the deputies un-locked a patrol vehicle, Rednour told the deputies, "See you guys later," and made his dash for freedom, according to a report of the incident.
The deputies watched Rednour run through the Central Elementary School practice field to Strong Street, where they lost sight of him, according to the report.
Inside the court, Steve Sondergaard, Rednour's attorney who had just nodded goodbye to his client, said: "It wasn't but a few minutes that office staff were running back, saying one of the prisoners had escaped."
Rednour will be charged with escape - his second such charge in a week. The charges are expected to be presented to the Henry County grand jury.
The previous Thursday, Rednour led authorities on a one-block foot chase when they were taking him to the regional jail after a meeting with his probation officer in the Henry County Courthouse.
Deputies had picked him up that day on a warrant after stopping a vehicle in which he was a passenger on State Rt. 110. Rednour was hanging out the window and making an obscene gesture to the driver of another vehicle as he passed it, according to a sheriff's report.
