A Bryan, Ohio, man was arrested late Monday night in South Toledo after leading area law enforcement agents on a car chase that had started in Sylvania Township, authorities said.

Aaron F. Garrett, 26, of 1109 Brookview Dr., the driver, was being held in the Lucas County jail; his passenger, Mackenzie McBride of Bryan, was not charged at the time of the incident, according to Bryan police. The driver’s charges included failure to comply with a police order, escape, and domestic violence.

The driver allegedly walked away from a Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio work site in Bryan on Jan. 23, 2012; felony charges of escape were filed and a warrant was issued, according to Bryan police.

The Lucas County sheriff deputies said the suspect failed to comply with a Sylvania Township police order to stop and then led area law enforcement agents on a chase that ended in South Toledo just before midnight. His arraignment by a video link is scheduled Tuesday in Sylvania Municipal Court, according to jail records.
