Authorities are investigating the death of a 69-year-old man who was found this afternoon in the pool at his West Toledo home, but do not suspect foul play.
John Pisula was pulled from the pool in the back yard at 4213 Oakcrest Rd. about 12:40 p.m. and pronounced dead, according to the Lucas County Coroner’s office.
Dr. James Patrick, Lucas County coroner, said the report filed by an investigator said Mr. Pisula was found fully clothed in the “deep end” of the pool, which was partially covered with a solar cover. He didn’t know if it was an in-ground or above the ground pool.
Dr. Patrick said family members told police that Mr. Pisula was getting the pool ready for the season. An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday.
