DUNDEE, Mich. — An Ida, Mich., man died in a hospital three days after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Dundee Township, authorities said.
Daniel Lehr, 26, was pronounced dead at 1:09 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Mich., according to a statement released Friday by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Lehr was struck about 7:30 p.m. Sunday as he walked across South Custer Road near Dixon Road after exiting a vehicle that was stopped on the north shoulder of South Custer, according to the report.
He failed to yield the right of way to Alexis McClain, 19, of Dundee, who was driving a minivan east on Custer, and was struck by the vehicle in the eastbound lane, deputies reported.
