Two charged with murder in November slaying

Murder charges have been added against two men in connection with an armed robbery and fatal shooting Nov. 18 in West Toledo.

James Moore, 19, and Eric Jones, 25, were already charged with aggravated robbery stemming from the incident in the 1800 block of Bigelow Street during which Jerry McNeal, 31, was killed. On Tuesday, a murder count was added against each man. Both remained in custody.

Also now charged in the case is Carl Banks, 18, who was arrested on an aggravated robbery charge and booked into the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center. He was 17 at the time of the robbery, police said in a statement.
