The Toledo Walleye will host the 2019 ECHL All-Star Classic, the team announced today.
The annual game featuring the top players in the ECHL will be held in January 2019. This will be the first time the Walleye franchise, which is in its eighth season, has hosted the event.
This year's all-star game, which was held in Glens Falls, N.Y., was the centerpiece of a week of events. It included a fan-fest and ECHL hall of fame induction ceremonies. The ECHL's Adirondack Thunder hosted the event.
The 2018 All-Star game will in be held in Indianapolis and will be hosted by the Indy Fuel.
The annual all-star game, which is held at the midpoint of the ECHL season, has produced more than 60 players who have gone on to play in the NHL.
